Who are we?

Wintringham is a specialist not-for-profit organisation providing an extensive range of aged care, housing and related support services to men and women aged 50-plus who have been homeless or at risk of homelessness.  We employ over 800 staff and operate from multiple offices across Melbourne and regional Victoria. Our Head Office provides the strategic direction and support services for Wintringham’s residential, housing and community care services.

 

Your new role

An opportunity exists for a committed and proactive individual to join our Finance Team at our Head Office on a Fixed Term Full Time basis for a one-year contract (with the possibility of extending).  In this unique and dynamic role, you will be responsible for developing our new programs and assisting with the implementation of our new finance system. Reporting to the Finance Digital Transformation Manager, this unique and diverse role is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative finance team.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the implementation of new programs and projects including setting up processes, reconciliations and reporting.
  • Review and updating finance policies.
  • Assist with various finance processes including but not limited to, board reporting, funding application modelling and year end reporting.
  • Assist with various operational processes including but not limited to residential care places management, KPM reporting to regulatory body, management of energy contracts.
  • Assist with the implementation of new finance software

 

About you

You are an experienced accountant with a flexible and collaborative approach to working with your colleagues. Your skills will be supported by possessing the following:

  • Relevant/appropriate qualification from a recognised institution or university
  • CPA/CA qualification.
  • Knowledge of computerised accounting software and integration of these systems with manual operations.
  • Advanced excel skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritise and have a strong attention to detail
  • Be able to liaise with staff, residents and other stakeholders.
